National Motor Museum – Beaulieu – Entrance Restoration and Refurbishment

In early 2024, KOT Building Contractors took on the prestigious task of restoring and refurbishing the main entrance of the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. This project, carried out throughout January and February, aimed to refresh the iconic entrance while maintaining its historical integrity.

Our work involved a comprehensive restoration, which included:

  • Steelwork Restoration: All steel structures were carefully rubbed back, prepped, and repainted to restore their original look and durability.

  • Glass Replacement: Any cracked or defective glass panels were replaced, ensuring the entrance remains visually flawless and safe.

  • Entranceway Slab Repairs: We repointed the slabs leading up to the entrance and replaced any that were damaged, providing a smooth and welcoming path.

  • New Automatic Entrance Doors: The main entrance doors were upgraded to modern automatic doors, enhancing accessibility and user experience.

  • Entrance Matting Replacement: Fresh entrance matting was installed, completing the look and improving functionality.

  • Roof Lantern Installation: We removed eight existing polycarbonate pyramid roof lanterns and replaced them with eight Anthracite grey aluminium framed glass roof lanterns, adding a sleek and modern touch to the entrance.

  • Window Frosting: Above the main entrance, we applied a reflective film to the windows, creating an infinity view effect that enhances the museum’s aesthetic.
